Pleas read this policy regarding how information is used on our website.
Information You Give Us
Personally Identifiable Information
If you choose to sign up for an arthros.io membership to gain additional functionality, we will ask you to provide your name, age, email address and other optional information such as location, occupation, interests, social presence and institution. We will NOT disclose, sell or exchange your personally identifiable information to or with anyone, without your specific permission, except when we believe disclosure is absolutely necessary to: (1) comply with the law or legal process; (2) protect or defend the rights or property of arthros.io or others; (3) enforce this Agreement; or (4) respond to claims that the contents of any communications violate the rights of others.
Members and visitors of arthros.io can readily access email any of the members who have chosen to be visible to public. Each member can turn off this functionality at any time if he/she so chooses.
Members are automatically enrolled for our mailing list service. Users can contact us anytime to have them removed. Our mailing list is used to keep you and others informed about orthopaedics and arthros.io. We do not share or sell your information to any third parties. We may use data from the list in the form of aggregate statistics, which do not identify you, for tracking web usage only.
Aggregated User Information That Does Not Identify Any User Individually
We perform statistical analysis of the collective characteristics and behaviour of our members and visitors, to measure overall demographics and interests regarding specific areas of the arthros.io domain and to analyze how and where to use our resources. We also use the aggregate data collected to inform our sponsors and/or content partners as to the number of people who have seen and “clicked” on their advertisement and/or content. In addition, we may compile and disclose aggregate information about users for promotional or other purposes. For example, we might want to disclose that a certain percentage of our users are located within a particular geographic area.
We may at times use a few third party ad networks to serve ads on our site, such as Google Adsense and others. The cookies received with banner ads served by these networks are used to collect and build anonymous behavioural profiles by these companies to deliver targeted ads and tracking referrals, and we do not have access to this information.
Data protection of our users is a special concern for us. Your password protects your user account and should be thus a strong password that is not used elsewhere. You should restrict access to your computer and browser and you should log-off after using arthros.io services. As a registered user, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login name and password and for restricting access to your computer.
The arthros.io portal and our systems are protected through technical and organizational measures against loss, destruction, access, alteration or distribution of your data through unauthorized parties. A complete protection against all hazards is however not possible in-spite of frequent controls.
arthros.io shall be entitled to display advertisement or other contents that contain hyperlinks to third-party websites. Only the provider of the website referred to shall be liable for illegal, erroneous or incomplete contents and particularly for damages that result from use or non-use of these links. We have no influence particularly on the data protection measures and contents of the sites linked to.
